Well, at long last we have a baby! Baby Cal was born 5 days after my due date and 11 days after any other kid I’ve ever had. When I tell you that I was surprised to make it to 40 weeks, I am understating it by quite a lot. My in-laws visited right after Christmas because we were sure there would be a baby by then, my other kids having been born at 37.5 weeks, 38 weeks, and 39 weeks. But alas, I was stymied in my quest for a perfectly timed 2022 tax deduction as little dude did not make his appearance until Jan. 6. He was my biggest kid at 8 lb, 5 oz and super-long at 22.5 in.
